What Age can join Scouts BSA?

• 11–17 years old. However, there are a few other ways to join:

Fifth grade

• If a youth is in the fifth grade and at least 10 years old, they can join Scouts BSA if they register on or after March 1st.

Arrow of Light Award

• If a youth is at least 10 years old and has earned the Arrow of Light Award, they can join Scouts BSA. 

Youth between the age of 14 and 17 can be duel enrolled in both a Troop & Crew at no additional cost.
