Yes, every parent in Troop 314 is required to watch a 40-minute electronic training called Youth Protection Training prior to signing their scout up. You can access this at www.my.scouting.org and email a copy of the certificate to Troop314CharterRepFRCS@gmail.com
Registrations can be done at any time during the year and will last 1 year from the date of registration.
Youth Registration 2024 fees:
$85 National Fee
$65 Local Mayflower Council Council Activity Fee

Troop & Crew $50 annually*
*There is also a cost /activity that is pay as you go. Examples: ~$20/camping trip to cover the cost of food. They have also agreed we will reevaluate if $50 in six months.
The Cub Scout Pack collects the dues upon registration and covers the cost of a Class B T-shirt, Scout Handbook, and awards earned throughout the year,
Scouts BSA & Crew collect dues upon registration and covers th awards earned throughout the year. Scouts should purchase a handbook when they pick up a uniform.
Scout BSA & Crew have dues each week ($2/scout/meeting) for Patrol/Troop Meetings held on Fridays. You can pay ahead if you wish. We can not make a changes at meetings. We can accept credit cards or checks. They use this money to buy fire wood when they go camping.
Yes, we take Cash, Checks made out to "FEA Scouting unit 314," and we can even send a PayPal invoice or Venmo.
If you are unable to fund-raise, there is a buy-out option. We ask you to consider participating, as fundraising is part of scouting and actually teaches scouts valuable lessons.
Our annul pancake breakfast is an amazing hit with the scouts they love cooking & serving pancakes to friends, family & the community.
Cub Scouting is for youth in kindergarten through fifth grade. Youth can join Scouts BSA if they are at least 10 years old, currently in the fifth grade and register on or after March 1st; OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, OR are age 11 but have not reached age 18. Venturing are for young men and women at least 13 years old who have completed the eighth grade, or are age 14 and not yet 21.

Any age-appropriate (Cub Scouts k -4, Troop events 10-17; Crew events 14-20) sibling, friend or family member that you would like to bring with you to a meeting/event will also need to submit their own BSA Health Form A&B.

No. Each unit has a different goal and interests. You should join the unit that has common interests for your scout. Our interests lie in S.T.E.M. activities, water sports, and camping.
Register with one of the units (Troop or Crew) after 24 hours you will show up on our roster. We can then teach you how to be registered in the same unit without any additional cost.
