The requirements for the Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks may be worked on simultaneously; however, these ranks must be earned in sequence. 

Star, Life, and Eagle Ranks must all be worked on one at a time and in order.

Eagle Palms may be worked on starting at Scout Rank all the way up and past earning Eagle until they turn 18.
